These rules are set up so anyone can host a trial in any part of the country at any time of the year.

Payout and points are based on 20 dogs per field.
$20 per dog will go to payout, $10 per dog to championship fund, $5 per dog to Dog of the Year Trial.
Membership for MQHA is $15/ year. This will entitle member to participate in any regular season trial.
Membership is due prior to your first run of the season. Exception: A hunter and dog can participate as a guest without membership on two runs, however championship points will not count. Payout moneys will be awarded.
Amateur division is open to any one dog until he has received three first place points at any MQHA trial in either the amateur or open division. Once three first place points have been earned regardless of division that dog will be eliminated from competing in the amateur division.
Any dog is eligible for open division regardless of any placement in previous trials.
All regular season trials will award championship points as follows:
16-20 dogs |

Championship status shall be attained when a dog has accumulated a total of 15 points, with a minimum of six first place points in his total point accumulation. Points will be carried over from year to year on each dog. Multiple championships can be attained.
When a dog earns champion status the owner will receive a $1000 gift certificate towards a gun of his choice or merchandise from Scheels All Sports.
